This splendid Italian Liberty style hotel has retained a tradition of hospitality for well over a century. The Marsicano family, who built the villa were renowned for their hospitality and would often invite the nobility of the time to sample the wonderful cuisine and local wines prepared by the lady of the house.

This tradition of hospitality was passed down through the years and eventually Villa Cheta was opened as a hotel for all to experience its luxurious surroundings.

I n 1982 Villa Cheta was completely renovated by the Aquadro family retaining all the original features and family atmosphere of the Italian villa. Behind the building’s rose and cream façade, the interior is lavishly decorated and adorned with art nouveau glass, chintz and lace. The furniture is all in keeping with the period.

The restaurant offers excellent fish and Lucanian dishes and guests can dine out on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Villa Cheta stands in a commanding position with panoramic views over the Mediterranean and pine clad mountains to the rear. The beach below the hotel, one of the many white, black, and rose coloured sand beaches nearby, can be reached in just a few minutes.
